So I’m popping into 4 Pines for a work meeting and I notice a couple of new neons. “Blue Moon” “Coors – Born in the Rockies” and “Sports Bar”.
I had a peer through the window and there’s definitely a bar set up happening, but geez it is small. 48 East Esplanade used to be restaurant of some sort. I think the site has turned over a few times. It is so small, I wonder if a bunch of US backpackers have rented the building and are turning the ground floor into the greatest lounge of all time. “Hey dude – maybe the lounge should be a sports bar?”.
Who knows. But watch this space. You can bet your bottom dollar that Back of the Ferry will be. And we’ll let you all know.
