Cap’n FergusDaytime inductions are rare, but this correspondent took a weekend trip into big smoke to get into American food and beer at Harts Pub, and was accompanied by a frequent appearer in these pages – Fergus. Given that Ferg works on the Northern Beaches there’s not many opportunities to do a post work induction, so a weekend induction it is.
Favourite beverage: 4 Pines Kolsch. (Ferg acknowledged that for a long time it was Heineken, but frequent visits to 4 Pines with this correspondent have changed that.)
Favourite sport to spectate: Surfing
Area of trivial expertise: WW2 battleships in the Pacific Theatre.
Favourite pub and why: The overwater outdoor section of the Manly Wharf Bar because it is the next best thing to being on the Back of the Ferry
