In September 2024, your correspondent had one of the greatest days of his life. I was fortunate enough to be hosted at Oktoberfest by a large reinsurer. My reputation had preceded me and I was paired up with our latest inductee, Christian. Christian loves Oktoberfest and in 2024, he went nine times. Clients love it Christian is an excellent host. We reminisced about the eight steins each. The least I could do was induct Christian on to the world’s best commutes and places to drink beer.

Favourite pub of all time and why: t Gat in de Markt, Enschede. Translates to “Hole in the Market” and is a student bar that looks like a public toilet but is open really late. Plenty of great memories.
