Bower Lager – my first retirement unique

Yep – you’ve read it right. Your correspondent has retired. From a career in financial services anyway. I hope to sling a few beers at beer festivals and things like that, but as for the corporate life – done and dusted.

One of the great walks in Sydney is the Manly to Shelly Beach walk. I’ve often had a coffee at Bower Cafe, but didn’t know that they serve their own beer and have a happy hour.

As a retiree, I’ll need to stretch the dollars, so happy hour drinking will be de riguer. It is a fabulous place to sit and people watch, but today we had a wildlife show as well. Brush turkeys and dolphins.
