New Brighton Lager by @TwoBirdsBrewing

So Manly is emerging from the COVID19 slumber. On the second day of the “50 people rule”, Sydney has turned on a freezing day, but that hasn’t stopped people patronising those venues that have chosen to open. Straight back into it is the New Brighton Hotel, which has opened two levels – the Corso Bar and 33 Degrees. It feels like 33 degrees Fahrenheit on the balcony of 33 Degrees but a view is a view.

Two birds and New Brighton Lager by Two Birds.

33 Degrees has often been good for a sneaky @Untappd unique. They also have been good supporters of Two Birds Brewing – a BotF favourite. I’ve probably had more Two Birds uniques here than any other venue. The relationship between Two Birds and The New Brighton has gone to a whole new level with Two Birds Brewing brewing a house lager for the New Brighton. Some opportune beerp0rn amplified the experience. A solid lager that should be smashed on a regular basis.

The Two Birds and a Bladdmasta

Last year your correspondent bumped into the Two Birds at the site of our very first meeting – Hart’s. The Two Birds were up for a business award that they hopefully won (if not they were robbed). Always great to see them and I’ve been looking for an opportunity to post this photo. I’m back to Melbourne for work and hopefully I can pop by the nest.
