12 Taps
There’s a terrific new venue in Glebe to enjoy beers you’d normally have to travel a long way to drink. 12 Taps opened in September 2019 and promises to serve regional beers on a regular basis.

The 12 Taps and the licencee
This will definitely become a favourite place for this correspondent as I’ll be attending plays at Sydney Uni for a number of years to come. To have a quality venue so close to Broadway to take the edge off before live theatre is a god send.
It is a great concept. They are very serious about their beer and bringing new drops to Sydney mouths. Mudgee Brewing and Coastal Brewing from Forster are mainstays, which great for Sydney drinkers as both are fine brewers. only recently they had the renowned Mudgee Mud on tap, which has apparently never been done before in Sydney. 12 Taps constantly rotate their taps with new beers and new brewers. They have a very strong Insta game which lets you know what is new and what is happening.

Street frontage
There’s a touch of the Tardis about the joint. It is a little tight at the front, but there is an upstairs and a courtyard out the back. There’s a good little snack menu and they’ve had a strong line-up of food trucks lately. 12 Taps is in the process of opening in Marrickville because you can’t have enough beer choices in Marrickville. Looking forward to my next visit.
