After a Monday drenching, Sydney’s skies have returned to clear, blue and beautiful. Whilst there are other BotF correspondents more knowledgeable about celestial matters, this correspondent knows what’s a good look celestially and tonight’s voyage was a cracker. Everyone out the back was enamoured by the panoramas and this correspondent was encouraged to “take a photo of that” – “how about that”. Suddenly everyone is a cross between Max Dupain and a BotF correspondent! And for good reason, the views tonight would have stimulated the bristles on any painter’s brush. Not even Ken Done could f$&k this up.
The evening before we created a spectacle of a different kind. We bought two bottles of Moa Blanc Evolution with the corks and everything. Again the beer was purchased from the Australian Wine Centre. Again we were cautioned about the fizz. This time though there was no ability to gently ease off the lid and bleed the gas. The Moa has the old fashioned wire twist over foil over cork. No sooner was the wire twist loosened that the cork exuberantly and loudly shot out. Illiards’ cork hit a tourist. Mine hit the ocean. Undue attention was drawn, but fortunately Bon Homie abounded and the corking was soon forgotten. The Blanc Evolution has one purpose however and that’s to launch boats or celebrate an America’s Cup win. Fizzy as all hell, spray it everywhere, just don’t drink it.
Thanks for the mention glad you got at least one good shot!
