Close win over long time rivals

Fisho’s enjoyed the hospitality of the Dee Why Builders Club for the first time this season for the usual epic darts encounter with Maggie and Ted’s (Dee Why Builders) team.

Both teams started the match short with only 5 players, with Paul being a late call up for the Fisho’s and joining the team at the start of the doubles. Even with this numerical advantage, Fisho’s trailed 4-3 at half time.

With it all to do in the singles Captain Bobby led from the front ably assisted by Craig who was in particular fine form – it must have been quiet in Manly on the legal front as this barrister disclosed that he spent the afternoon practicing in his office ……

Also worthy of special mention was Paul who was a winner in the singles on debut.

The match finished a close 7-6 to the Fisho’s – a few beers, a few arrows and a good night for both teams.

The Fisho’s can now look forward with some trepidation to the start of the A-grade comp.
