Oranjeboom – yet another cheap Dutch import

There seems no end to the flood of imported beer into Oz. An impression of long brewing history is conveyed by a label proudly stating a 1671 inception. A little research indicates that the beer is nothing more than a brand and is connected to its origins in name only. It is another Dutch generic like Hollandia or Amsterdam.

As a beer goes, Oranjeboom is potable if a little insipid. It has a similar aroma to Heinekin and has that euro flavour with a little aftertaste.
