Wrap up from yesterday: Mclennan and Tame rv’d at Curl Curl to discover uninspiring surf made less inspiring by a grommets contest in the process of being set up.
After relocating to the mid curly car park and wondering over the dunes, the choice was made to paddle out. Suprisingly, there was a little bit of size around and some “reasonable” (very loosely defined) waves to had. The best part was no crowd or at least very small though towards the end they all seemed to be sitting right in front of us.
Logger caught a cracking last wave to nonchalantly step off onto the beach. Tame suffered the inglorious paddle in only to be caught in the savage shore break alongside a shortboarder who’s comments were “why would you bother?”. The response was it that or get a coffee and drive home.
