Just discovered what I thought was a new bar in Bridge Street, but it has apparently been around for 8 months. Garage or (maybe more formally Bridge St Garage Bar * Diner) is a stripped back bar opposite the Stock Exchange. Auto themed to the extent that the tap handles are mechanic’s tools including spanners and wrenches.
6 beers on tap with 4 Pines successfully continuing their quest for Australian domination. There’s also Coopers Green, Murrays Moon Boy, Rocks Brewing Hangman and my choice for the evening – Lord Nelson’s Old Admiral. The menu is American – wings, sliders, “lamb lollipops” and “good ol’ fashioned burgers”. Sensibly the burgers are under $20. I’ll be back to try the burgers for sure.
