Bee Sting

The largesse of others

I often find that a good source of new beverages to taste is to host a BBQ or the like. If your mates are generous, and I am blessed with many of this persuasion, a root around in your esky post-hooter will often turn up a few crackers.

This is how I ended up with a sample of Bee Sting – Honey Wheat Beer. I am certain that the source was Dean Aikin – our resident beer aficianado.

Bee Sting is produced by the Barossa Valley Brewing Company and at first pour it looks as thick and rich as Capilano’s best. A taste though leaves you in no doubt that this a quality drop with a rich, not-too-sweet flavour. The brewer suggests that Bee Sting is a great beer with food….the flavours go extremely well with Asian, barbequed meats and foods with a bit of spice. Not far off, I reckon.

A keeper.
