1st of September is the first day of Spring in Australia and Sydney turned on an absolute cracker of a day for 2010 spring. An evening when no jackets were required. A number of BotF regulars took the opportunity to mark the moment and celebrate that another winter has been survived and that we can look forward to balmy nights on the BotF.
This correspondent popped into Mr Liquor at the Quay for his supplies and despite his better judgment snaffled a can of “Brewer”. It was another one of Mr Liquor’s oddments that he offloads at a ridiculously low price. At least I only purchased a can rather than a 6 pack. Having been produced by a Polish Brewery – Browar Fuhrmann – which has an extensive range of beer, you’d expect a better drop. Possibly past its use-by- date if it ever had one, this was the worst beer I’ve had on the BotF. Tinny, off tasting – it wasn’t Poland’s finest brewing moment.
