A two part entry. This World Cup Final is eagerly anticipated because a new name will go onto the trophy and hopefully it will be a good game. I believe Holland will win, but in a Schadenfreude way I am hoping Spain will win to Leave New Zealand as the only undefeated team at the 2010 World Cup. I just think the Dutch look slightly stronger across the park, and Arjen Robben despite, at 26yo, having less hair than even Michael Puncheon will be the difference between the two sides. That said, the Spanish haven’t really turned it on yet, and they might be due. 3-2 to the Dutch.

Of all beer styles, this BotF correspondent’s least favourite is Witbier or Wheat Beer. Whether it is Redback or Hoegaarden, this BotF correspondent would generally drink something in preference to a Wheat Beer. That said, I’ve got to say I really enjoyed this Australian take on what is a Belgian style of beer (witbier – being literally white beer and a form of wheat beer – confusing). The fact I enjoyed it probably means a connoisseur of wheat beer would probably hate this.
It is pretty common to flavour wheat or white beers with spices. For example, Hoegaarden contains coriander, amongst other things. So, the addition of Lemon Myrtle by Baron’s is not as much of a gimmick as it would first appear. I’m reasonably sure that they are the only brewer to use Lemon Myrtle in a beer. Definitely a summer quaffer that I’d return to again.
