This BotF correspondent had the good fortune to participate in a second ferry farewell in as many years. Whilst it seems like an eon ago, I’ve only just been able to sort out the photos taken by BotF’s own Lord Snowden – one M Puncheon. There’ll be a rash of new memberships posted over the upcoming days, with a number of inductions occurring during the farewell. There is truly no better way to leave an employer for the last time.
Unfortunately all good things, like gardening leave, must come to an end. All too soon, the position at the BotF has been re-assumed and normal service has resumed. Half the foundation members were on the 6pm, with Charlie and Chris getting an earlier boat to ready themselves for the big semi-final in the darts. We look forward to Chris’ gripping report.
A treat for the ferry goers in the evening over this month will be watching the light show on the Opera House as part of Vivid. Whilst BotF has been able to obtain an iPhone as his mobile phone device it hasn’t improved the quality of his pictures. The Opera House was covered with lighting that effectively looked like its shells had been pebble-creted. Fortunately, the pattern changes regularly.
