May I introduce your authors favourite beer when imbibing on the companys coin. Chimay Grand Reserve. This comes in a wine style bottle with a cork. Reeks of top shelf. Though I purchased it from the supermarket in Pacific Palisades. A bargain over here also @ 15 AUD. Goes for double this in some Sydney bottlos.
The taste….superb. A dark, silky beer. Looks like it would be heavy but is quite light and smooth to drink.
There is no peer.
Brewed by monks so it should be a no brainer since they have given up all other vices. All they have is beer.

How long did it take you to drink? Not the drop to drink if you’ve got jet lag.
Punched out a couple pretty quickly with G and Tim Davies. By then I had not slept for 25 hrs but was getting a third wind! Had Chimays at ~6pm LA time and continued on till midnight.
