The brave boys at Barons, the same lads who import “Lucky Beer”, are at their best when producing a local drop. Their Pale Ale is a great whip with a nice little malty ‘bite’. Their website rabbits on about guava and blackberry or some such tripe but our correspondent did not detect such flavours. Seems to be constantly on special at my local, Brookvale Cellars.
Definitely rates as a ‘buy’.
Concerns: my pet hate. Schmiddie volumes. Pale Ale comes in 330ml. Come on boys, be brave, Aussies want a stubbie. 375ml please.
