We’ve met some terrific people over the years out the Back of the Ferry. Some meetings are planned and some are organic. Des is in the latter category. Des loves his ferry trips and loves a trip to Manly and then back again. Des is a raconteur and a fount of knowledge about many, many sports. We’ve enjoyed many conversations about rugby league, horses, the EPL etc. Des turns 70 this year – is he our oldest inductee? Maybe.
Des gets what the Back of the Ferry is all about. We are in a purple patch with 300-500 on board the 5.30pm and both the top and bottom gangplanks being used.
