
A recent visit to the Central Coast gave the opportunity for a visit to Block ‘n Tackle Brewery at Kincumber. Block ‘n Tackle celebrated its 10th birthday in April 2025 and it is great to see a regional brewery surviving and thriving.

It is a simple formula – good beer and good food. Over the journey, Block ‘n Tackle had brewed 130 uniques according to Untappd. On the day we visited they were pouring a couple of tributes to American lagers – Hey Bud and Coor’s Blimey. The star beer of the visit, though, was a beautiful amber ale called Ember.

It went well with a sensational pepperoni pizza. The pizzas are very, very good. I hope Block ‘n Tackle can stay the course for another 10 years.
