For some reason, I never got around to reviewing BOBs (Best of Beers) Brewery which is located on the corner of Elkhorn and Orchid Avenues, Surfers Paradise. I’d been a couple of times over the years, but never wrote it up.
BOBs is no longer and it has been renamed Surfers Brewery. It is an odd rebrand. They’ve painted new murals on the walls inside. I like the homage to the meter maids of yester year, but the Shane Warne painting is not great.
They’ve retained the names of all the beers, kept the BOBs glassware and there’s BOBs signage outside in parts.
The beers are a little hit and miss to be honest. The lager is fine, both IPAs are solid, but the witbier is pretty messy. There’s inside and outside seating and they were building a decent crowd on a Thursday night.
