The Great North Trading Post has been a stop on the Great North Road since 1935. The Great North Road is a convict built road that is so significant it gets a Wikipedia entry.
I tend to drink at the Wollombi Tavern because it is that little bit closer to my weekender, but today I stopped in for a sandwich at the GNTP and noticed a unique on the taps.
#95, who also has a place at Wollombi, is the only other Untappd user that has checked Laguna Lager, which is brewed by New England Brewing. Technically the weekender is in Laguna so it was only appropriate to have a pint. There’s another New England beer on tap as well.
The food’s good at the GNTP and there’s a gallery, bottle shop and a fabulous store with local produce and food supplies. Might have to be a more frequent visitor.
