BotF inductee #26 has long extolled the delights of the Back of the Ferry to his mate Steve. So much so, that Steve decided to “Enough of hearing about it. Let’s do it”. And boy oh boy, didn’t Sydney turn it on for the lads from Melbourne.

And to top things off, we had the pleasure of the company of Sydney Harbour’s own Ansel Adams, the great Haig. Whilst Cam, a professional photographer in his early years, talked about lenses and the like, I asked Steve the all important questions.
Favourite Beverage: Melbourne Bitter
Favourite sport to spectate: Tennis
Area of trivial expertise: Rhythm guitar by Malcolm Young
Favourite pub of all time and why: The Red Bluff Hotel “because I grew up there”

The Induction ceremony was performed by #1 and #26. Post induction festivities were some of the longest ever done with a bevvy or three at Felon’s, Broken Bay, 4 Pines Truck Bar, Nomads, Chalky’s and Bucketty’s. We may or may not have bumped into #2, #5, #88 and #143, but I can’t remember. Welcome aboard, Steve.

I’ve done a fair few voyages, but this was the best BotF boat ride and North Shore night out I’ve ever done. Magic weather made the cruise even more memorable and #1’s tour of Brookvale was epic!
