The Northern Beaches has a new venue. Freshie Locale had opened on Lawrence Street, Freshwater and I can confirm that it is a place worth visiting.
Freshie Locale is run by the team that own Freshwater Brewing Co*. It has much different vibe to their cavernous place on Powell’s Rd, Brookvale. Always friendly, but much more intimate.
Tight tap range with one of my favourite styles and favourite example of the style in the line-up. A Vienna Lager is malty amber delight and Freshwater Brewing Co’s take on it is excellent.
The food menu is eclectic “Seafood Plate, Hot Dog, Assorted Pickles”. I admire a place with a meat slicer on the counter. I bought a meat slicer from Aldi once. Used it twice. I’m sure Freshie Locale will use theirs more.
