This is an induction to which I’ve been looking forward doing from a long time and it is another 2nd generation ceremony. This might be the first induction supervised by a father and a godfather.
I’ve known Owen for twenty years having met him in LA in the early noughties (I doubt he’d remember that!). It has been fun catching up with him over the journey and this is the first time he’s been to Australia for many years and certainly as an adult.
The harbour really turned it on with tugs, cruise ships, ferries and yachts accompanying us on the World’s Best Commute.
Favourite beverage: A bottle of Corona
Favourite sport to spectate: Basketball
Area of trivial expertise: 90s Rap Music
Favourite pub and why: Barney’s Beanery West Hollywood, which sustained me mentally during the COVID years
Ceremony supervised by #1, #25 (Father) and #88 (Godfather).
Given the infrequency of Owen’s visits, post induction festivities were dialled up a notch with a visit to Felons and dinner with a number of #25’s friends, which went well into the night.
