Congratulations to all involved in BrookieFest. 3 days of fun and frivolity at seven wonderful Brookvale venues over Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Next year, I’ll be making a more concerted effort to clear the diary and get to more of the wackier events and come prepared for things like the Budgy Smuggler’s Bird Bath at Manly Spirits.
The Brookvale Arts District has done a marvellous job of fostering a community spirit in recent years. The vibe on Sunday when I attended was just fabulous. Just people being happy at happy places. The BrookieFest passport worked a treat and the deals were good. I was a big fan of the Dad & Dave’s pints for middy prices deal and their BrookieFest was a solid refreshing beer on a steamy day.
I haven’t seen esky racing before. Well done 7th Day for that. I haven’t painted a pot in a brewery before, I still haven’t but my daughter enjoyed doing that at the 4 Pines Truck Bar. really hopes it happens again. Bucketty’s played some cool tunes as always and I finally collected my 7th stamp in my passport at Freshwater Brewing and got my treasured cap.
I really hope it happens again in 2025.
