And just like that, one of the behemoths of the Craft Beer journalism world has hung up the keyboard. When I drive to my weekender in the Hunter there’s three podcasts that I rotate through. Locked on Cavs, Super70sSports and Radio Brews News. It would seem that they’ve recorded the last one.
451 episodes is a pretty bloody good run and to keep a beer news site going since 2010 is a bloody outstanding effort. Matt Kirkegaard has been writing about beer for 20 years and Brews News became a thing in 2010. His last article can be found here. I came close to meeting Matt a couple of times early on in the Back of the Ferry days, but it never happened. Hopefully, I will get the opportunity to have a beer with him and thank him for all his words over the years.
