The last of the festival of Member #25 inductions was Evan aka Old Man Ev aka the Oldest Man. Members #1, #2 and #25 have been on many an escapade with Evan over many, many years. I will never forget the day Evan single-handedly took a 7s team of Western Suburbs first graders at Byron whilst representing the Sloth Rugby Club. The Purple Pentangle of Pain was led by Evan and his post match ritual of an unfiltered Camel with a long-neck of Coopers Sparkling was inspiring. An anchor of the San Francisco 42, it was terrific that the old guard could supervise his induction.
Favourite beverage: Brass Monkey Stout made in Fremantle at the Sail & Anchor Hotel

Area of trivial expertise: Science & Nature
Favourite bar/pub and why: The Slip Inn on the Greek island of Skiathos because the owner worked in the Slip Inn in Sydney. The ambience of the Greek version was magnificent and the company I had that day was even better. (Sadly, this venue is now closed)
