Pittwater Cup kicked off last Wednesday and Fishos were at home playing Time & Tide 1 team.
The new season has a new format with 9 sudden death 801 doubles followed by 6 best of 3 501 singles.
Sudden death is always a bit harsh. Fish was off to a shaky start and down 2-0 in quick time. It was a bit of a wake up to sudden death and the Fish recovered strongly to a 5-4 lead after the doubles.
Singles went 5-0 to the Fish and Charlie to play the final singles against the reigning B-Grade champ to record a singles clean-sweep to the Fish. Down 1 leg it was looking a bit improbable but some extremely intense focus from Charlie bought it back to 1-1. Final leg both players on double 7 before Charlie achieved a thirst-quenching win.
Next week at Builders against Jeff’s (Ted and Maggie’s) team.

I think a photo of the boys outside the Builders would be a good addition to the next match report. I will then add the Builders to the BotF Bar Review map.
