Last night, the Fish had its nth 8-5 result but for the first time this season on the 5 side. The winner last night was competition favourite: Rowlie’s Time and Tide team. See you in the GF boys but next time we’ll have Norm & Spook on board.
Worthy of note is a 180 by Marty. His first. That leaves Charlie as the only 180 virgin on the Fishos team. Also of note was Craig’s centre bull peg to wrap up the doubles (his second this season) and the author’s triple 20, triple 20, double 16, that would have been his best ever peg except he was on 168 instead of 152. Doh! Of course a shot at a 170 peg is the rarest of earthly delights as we’re all 170 virgins.
Then there was Charlie’s go slow, playing Rowlie in the singles, taking 30 seconds or even more per dart. It did seem to unsettle the comp’s strongest player, but on this occasion the hare still beat the tortoise.
Next week at Dee Why Master Builders against Maggie & Ted’s team.

Thanks for the darts updates lamb0, although it must be clarified that the conduct displayed by Charlie during the game against Rowley, can only be described as bad sportsmanship, and is in no way advocated or condoned by the Manly Warringah District Darts Association or any of their members. The supportive comments made here by lamb0 are in no way echoed by the MWDDA. These types of tactics are very much so discouraged from our competitions as we are all engaged in the sport for the enjoyment of the game.
We do however, encourage players to enjoy and positively promote our sport as recent popularity is growing. We welcome anyone who wishes to join our association to please contact us at mwdda@live.com.au as we can accommodate all levels of proficiency.

For such a flagrant abuse of the “spirit of the game” of which we cherish so dearly, I recommend Charlie “the tortoise” Hamilton be reported to HM British High Commission and returned with haste to the Olde Dart from whence he came.
