Singha happiness

Tried a new bottlo on the way to the ferry the other night. The Grand Hotel has a well priced selection of importantly very cold beer. For no particular reason a six pack of Singha was chosen. Despite some taunts from other drinkers about formaldehyde, both BotFers found the Singha perfectly potable. Very similar to a Heinekin was my recollection.

Singha is Thailand’s first beer. The founder of the Boon Rawd Brewery built his brewery in 1933 after touring Denmark and Germany to study beer making, so it is no surprise that it has a European feel to it. A little like the Thai version of Coopers, Boon Rawd Brewery remains a privately owned company and has still has family involvement. They’ve got a range of beers but I’ve only seen Singha in Australia.
