Dunlop Volleys & Melbourne Bitter

Melbourne Bitter

Dunlop Volleys

When confronted with the overwhelming array of beer at any decent bottleshop, or when simply in a hurry (e.g. running for the botf) your correspondent always grabs a Melbourne Bitter. This whip is my Dunlop Volleys of the beer world. Dependable and honest. No flash or frills. Doesn’t have the ‘tinny’ aftertaste of its VB sibling. This habit of mine started when Melbourne Bitter was known for being the only domestic beverage that was brewed at a single brewery rather than in each capital city. Those days are long gone but its still has a great taste that sets it a peg above the more profilic domestic competitors.
