Great trip home on the BotF. Cracking blue sky, blazing sun and a cooling breeze. For no particular reason BotF indulged in a 6-pack of Crown Lager. The prescience of this purchase was only realised when the UK BotF member spotted the Royal Ensign fluttering on the GG residence’s flagpole. The photo of the stubby of Crownie has therefore got Prince Willie’s flag showing (resolution on crap camera may not show this)
Given the majority of the BotF passengers are avowed republicans, we were more interested in the swell that was rolling in and creating rarely seen barrels off Dobroyd, South Head and North Head. The tourists were in awe of the swell that hit the ferry, but old timers like us regarded it as a mere ripple. Still, after a paucity of swell it was good to see some up and down through the heads.
